Habitat and Description: In herbaceous vegetation on sandy alluvium on high bank of slightly entrenched stream draining rolling landscape underlain in part by Antlers Sand, in partial shade of deciduous riparian woodland on higher bank above. Associates include Acer negundo, Amaranthus rudis, Ambrosia trifida, Ammannia coccinea, Amorpha fruticosa, Ampelopsis cordata, Boehmeria cylindrica, Callicarpa americana, Campsis radicans, Carya illinoinensis, Chasmanthium latifolium, Conoclinium coelestinum, Cornus drummondii, Cynodon dactylon, Cyperus odoratus, Desmodium paniculatum, Dicliptera brachiata, Echinochloa sp., Eclipta prostrata, Elephantopus carolinianus, Equisetum laevigatum, Leucospora multifida, Mollugo verticillata, Panicum virgatum, Penthorum sedoides, Phyla nodiflora, Platanus occidentalis, Polygonum lapathifolium, P. punctatum, Salix nigra, Sesbania vesicaria, Strophostyles helvola, Toxicodendron sp., Ulmus americana, Verbena urticifolia, Xanthium strumarium. Tall perennial; disk and ray flowers yellow; several dozen plants.
