Habitat and Description:
In mostly herbaceous vegetation on very stony clay loam on level upland and moderately steep slope with exposures of Cretaceous limestone. Associates include Grindelia sp., Heterotheca canescens, Liatris sp., Muhlenbergia reverchonii, Silphium albiflorum, Stenosiphon linifolius, Stillingia texana. Annual; rays absent, disk florets pink to white; common.
