Habitat and Description: In patch of little bluestem along edge of deciduous woodland on shallow stony clay loam on upper slope of narrow shallow canyon in Cretaceous limestone. Associates include Celtis laevigata, Cornus drummondii, Juniperus ashei, Prosopis glandulosa, Schizachyrium scoparium, Sideroxylon lanuginosum. Stems and leaves glabrous; rare.
