Habitat and Description: A dominant species in low forest at top of steep W-facing wooded slope. Woodland dominated by Ulmus crassifolia and Juniperus ashei. Associates included Argyrochosma dealbata, Artemis ludoviciana, Fraxinus texensis, Mentzelia oligosperma, Morus microphylla, Quercus buckleyi, Q. sinuata, Sideroxylon lanuginosum, Yucca pallida. Common.
