Habitat and Description: In dried cracked black clay in unshaded dry bed. Associates include Chamaesyce serpens, Cynodon dactylon, Cardiospermum halicacabum, Desmanthus virgatus, Helianthus annuus, Phyla nodiflora, Polygonum pensylvanicum, Rumex chrysocarpus, Salix nigra seedlings. Tepals pale pink; common.
