Locality: United States, TEXAS, TRAVIS, Cultivated from seed collected by Scott Lenharth, April 12, 2003, in Travis Co. at Hornsby Bend, ca. 500 yards east of the Colorado River in the NW quarter of Hornsby.
Habitat and Description: Seed source: under a mesquite tree. Soil was typical for the area, "recent" alluvial from the Colorado River, hard packed sand. Plant in pot under cultivation by Bob Harms, planted in early November 2003. Seed source from a colony of plants about 10 feet across, scattered.
