Habitat and Description: Among medium and tall shrubs in brushy pasture on clayey soils (mapped as calcareous, moderately alkaline silt loam of Balmorhea Series) on alluvial flat along W side of Diamond Y Draw. Associates include Aristida cf. longiseta, Artemisia ludoviciana, Bouteloua curtipendula, Chloris sp., Clematis drummondii, Convolvulus equitans, Conyza coulteri, Cucurbita foetidissima, Cyphomeris gypsophiloides, Gaillardia suavis, Lycium berlandieri, Nyctaginea capitata, Pappophorum vaginatum, Prosopis glandulosa, Ratibida columnifera, Rhynchosida physocalyx, Salvia reflexa, Setaria sp., Sida abutifolia, Solanum elaeagnifolium, Sorghum halepense, Tragia amblyodonta, Tridens albescens, Verbesina encelioides. Locally common.
