Habitat and Description: Sparse herbaceous vegetation on saline clay (Catarina Series) in broad shallow open drainageway probably clearly of brush in the not-too-distant past, between gravelly slopes underlain by Catahoula and Frio formations. Associates include Atriplex sp., Billieturnera helleri, Gutierrezia sp., Physalis lobata, Prosopis reptans, Salsola tragus, Tridens albescens. Common.
