Habitat and Description: Swamp woodland on saturated loam or sandy loam on nearly level topography on broad floodplain of perennial stream. Associates include Bidens sp., Carex cherokeensis, C. crus-corvi, Carya aquatica, Carya illinoinensis, Celtis laevigata, Chasmanthium latifolium, Cornus drummondii, Cynosciadium digitatum, Forestiera acuminata, Fraxinus pennsylvanica, Hydrocotyle verticillata, Leersia sp., Lemna sp., Mikania scandens, Persicaria sp., Ptilimnium sp., Sagittaria sp., Salix nigra, Smilax bona-nox, Ulmus americana.
