Habitat and Description: Grassland openings in juniper woodland on shallow clay soils on flat to slightly convex top of limestone ridge. Herbaceous vegetation dominated by Bouteloua hirsuta, Sporobolus compositus, Aristida oligantha. Other associates included Abutilon fruticosum, Bothriochloa laguroides, Cirsium undulatum, Cooperia drummondii, Croton monanthogynus, Desmanthus velutinus, Eragrostis curtipedicellata, Erioneuron pilosum, Heterotheca canescens, Leptochloa dubia, Opuntia spp., Palafoxia callosa, Schizachyrium scoparium (rare), Senna lindheimeriana, Sida abutifolia, Yucca pallida.
