Habitat and Description: Medium-stature shrubland on gravelly soil mapped as Catarina clay but probably an unmappable inclusion, on local high point on gently rolling landscape underlain by mudstones and claystones of the Catahoula and Frio formations (undivided). Shrubland dominated by Acacia rigidula, Eysenhardtia texana, Lippia graveolens, Krameria ramosissima. Other associated included Acacia berlandieri, Agave (scabra?; introduced, locally naturalized), Bouteloua trifida, Cevallia sinuata, Ephedra antisyphilitica, Forestiera angustifolia, Guaiacum angustifolium, Hibiscus martianus, Jatropha dioica, Karwinskia humboldtiana, Leucophyllum frutescens, Melampodium cinereum, Meximalva filipes, Panicum hallii, Telosiphonia lanuginosa, Thymophylla pentachaeta, Tiquilia canescens, Tridens muticus, Wedelia hispida, Yucca treculeana.
