Habitat and Description: In herbaceous vegetation in unshaded bottom of shallow depressional area within gamagrass prairie on soils mapped as deep, somewhat poorly drained, mildly alkaline clay Vertisols (Kaufman Series), upper edge of floodplain of Cowleech Fork of Sabine River. Associates included Aster subulatus, Cardiospermum halicacabum, Carex crus-corvi, Cephalanthus occidentalis, Croton capitatus, Cuscuta sp. (on Iva annua), Echinochloa muricata (29931), Hydrolea ovata, Iva annua, Lycopus americanus, Polygonum hydropiperoides, Sesbania exaltata, Xanthium strumarium. Occasional.
