Habitat and Description: In heavily grazed transitional coastal prairie on Livia loam over Beaumont Formation. Assoc. include Boltonia diffusa, Bouteloua rigidiseta, Chloris cucullata, Eragrostis lugens, E. secundiflora, Euthamia leptocephala, Evolvulus sericeus, Habranthus tubispathus, Helenium amarum, Iva angustifolia, Liatris acidota, L. bracteata, Opuntia sp., Panicum hians, Spartina spartinae, Sporobolus pyramidatus. Common. Mad Island Marsh Preserve Herbarium (Matagorda Co. Texas), donated by the Nature Conservancy to the University of Texas Herbarium, 2011.
