Habitat and Description: In sandy clay loam in recently burned gulf cordgrass-brownseed paspalum grassland on essentially level coastal prairie. Associates include Astranthium integrifolium, Bromus unioloides, Carex brittoniana, Cirsium horridulum, Helenium amarum, Juncus marginatus, Lechea san-sabeana, Limnosciadum pumilum, Panicum hians, Phalaris caroliniana, Pyrrhopappus sp., Rhynchospora indianolensis, Sabatia campestris, Sisyrinchium sagittiferum, Tradescantia occidentalis, Vulpia sp. Common. Mad Island Marsh Preserve Herbarium (Matagorda Co. Texas), donated by the Nature Conservancy to the University of Texas Herbarium, 2011.
