Habitat and Description: In heavily grazed transitional coastal prairie on Livia loam over Beaumont Formation. Assoc. include Aristida oligantha, Boltonia diffusa, Bouteloua rigidiseta, Chloris cucullata, Eragrostis secundiflora, Euthamia leptocephala, Helenium amarum, Iva angustifolia, Liatris acidota, L. bracteata, Paspalum plicatulum, Spartina spartinae. Occasional. Mad Island Marsh Preserve Herbarium (Matagorda Co. Texas), donated by the Nature Conservancy to the University of Texas Herbarium, 2011.
