Habitat and Description:
In grassland apparently heavily grazed in past, dominated by Spartina spartinae and dotted with mesquite and prickly pear, on coastal prairie with scattered low mima mounds. Corolla lobes all spreading; frequent. Mad Island Marsh Preserve Herbarium (Matagorda Co. Texas), donated by the Nature Conservancy to the University of Texas Herbarium, 2011.
