Habitat and Description: In wetland vegetation in shallow natural depression (old stream channel) within grassland on soils mapped as deep, somewhat poorly drained, mildly alkaline clay Vertisols (Kaufman Series), on floodplain of major stream. Associates included Aster spinosus, Cardiospermum halicacabum, Carex crus-corvi, Cephalanthus occidentalis, Echinochloa sp. (29842), Eryngium hookeri, Hydrolea ovata, Iva annua, Justicia lanceolata, Lycopus sp., Lythrum alatum, Persicaria sp. (29836), Phyla sp., Pluchea odorata, Salix nigra, Xanthium strumarium. Frequent.
