Habitat and Description: In regularly shredded herbaceous vegetation on soils mapped as deep, moderately well drained, calcareous, moderately alkaline, silty clay Vertic Ustifluvents (Matamoras Series) on +/- flat agricultural landscape on delta of Rio Grande, in lowest part of shallow depressional area that sometimes ponds shallow water. A "Texas Prairie Wetlands" project. Associates included Cynodon dactylon, Cyperus ochraceus, Eleocharis sp. (29919), Helianthus annuus, Persicaria pensylvanica, Phyla sp. Occasional.
