Locality: United States, TEXAS, Hunt, On upper edge of floodplain of Cowleech Fork of Sabine River, in SW corner of Cowleech Prairie Preserve, ca. 500ft. NE to NNE of gate on N side of Co. Rd. 3128 at a point 1.0 roadmiles E of its jct. with US Rt. 69 S of Greenville. Elev. ca. 460ft.

Habitat and Description: In herbaceous vegetation in partial shade of Cephalanthus occidentalis and small Salix nigra in bottom of shallow depressional area within gamagrass prairie, on soils mapped as deep, somewhat poorly drained, mildly alkaline clay Vertisols (Kaufman Series). Associates included Cardiospermum halicacabum, Carex crus-corvi, Cephalanthus occidentalis, Iva annua, Persicaria hydropiperoides, Xanthium strumarium. Locally frequent.
