Locality: United States, TEXAS, Lamar, W side of narrow strip of hackberry woodland along shallow intermittent drainageway in NE 1/4 of Tridens Prairie Preserve, ca. 200-500 ft. S of US Rt. 82 from a point 0.1 mi W of jct. St. Rt. 38 (just N of Brookston). Elev. 590ft.

Habitat and Description: In mostly native grassland vegetation on soils mapped as deep, moderately well drained, slightly acid clay loam Vertic Haplustalfs (Normangee Series), on very gentle slopes underlain by Blossom Sand. Associates included Acacia angustissima, Ambrosia psilostachya, Asclepias verticillata, A. viridis, Baptisia sphaerocarpa, Carex bushii, Coelorachis cylindrica, Coreopsis grandiflora, Cyperus echinatus, Dichanthelium dichotomum, D. oligosanthes, Echinacea pallida, Erigeron strigosus, Fimbristylis puberula, Helianthus grosseserratus, H. mollis, Liatris pycnostachya, Liatris (other), Lobelia appendiculata, Mimosa nuttallii, Psoralidium tenuiflorum, Rosa foliolosa, Rubus sp., Rudbeckia maxima, Salvia azurea, Scutellaria parvula, Silphium radula, Sphenopholis obtusata, Sporobolus silveanus. Rare.
