Habitat and Description: In mostly native grassland vegetation on soils mapped as deep, moderately well drained, slightly acid clay loam Vertic Haplustalfs (Normangee Series), on nearly level area underlain by Blossom Sand. Associates included Acacia angustissima, Asclepias verticillata, A. viridis, Baptisia sphaerocarpa, Carex bushii, Coelorachis cylindrica, Coreopsis grandiflora, Cyperus Dichanthelium dichotomum, D. oligosanthes, Echinacea pallida, Erigeron strigosus, Fimbristylis puberula, Helianthus grosseserratus, H. mollis, Liatris pycnostachya, Liatris (other), Lobelia appendiculata, Mimosa nuttallii, Rubus sp., Rudbeckia maxima, Salvia azurea, Silphium laciniatum, S. radula, Sphenopholis obtusata, Sporobolus silveanus. Rare, one colony noticed.
