Habitat and Description: In brushy grassland on soils mapped as deep, moderately well drained, moderately alkaline clay Udic Pellusterts (Houston Black Series), near top of very gently rolling landscape underlain by Blossom Sand. Delphinium virescens, Desmanthus illinoensis, Dracopis amplexicaulis, Elymus canadensis, Erigeron strigosus, Helianthus grosseserratus, Monarda lindheimeri., Pyrrhopappus pauciflorus, Rubus spp., Rudbeckia maxima, Schedonorus phoenix, Solidago sp., Sphenopholis obtusata, Tripsacum dactyloides.
