Habitat and Description: Both in grassland and along outer margin of adjacent wooded wetland in natural swale (old stream channel?) on floodplain of major stream, on soils mapped as deep, somewhat poorly drained, mildly alkaline clay Vertisols (Kaufman Series). Otherwise rare on preserve in 2011. Locally frequent and conspicuous.
