Habitat and Description: In herbaceous wetland vegetation in unshaded seasonal swales in gamagrass prairie on soils mapped as deep, somewhat poorly drained, mildly alkaline clay Vertisols (Kaufman Series) on floodplain of major stream. Associates included Carex crus-corvi, Cephalanthus occidentalis, Dracopis amplexicaulis, Galium aparine, G. tinctorium, Krigia cespitosa f. gracilis, Persicaria sp., Phalaris caroliniana, Physostegia intermedia, Ptilimnium nuttallii, Ranunculus fascicularis, R. pusillus, Rorippa sessiliflora, Salix nigra, Sesbania macrocarpa, Teucrium canadense, Trepocarpus aethusae, Valerianella radiata, Veronica peregrina, Xanthium strumarium.
