Habitat and Description: In deciduous woodland on loamy Alfisols (Axtell Series) at upper edge of floodplain of major stream. Associates included Carex spp. (29559, 29560) , Carya illinoinensis, Celtis laevigata, Chaerophyllum tainturieri, Clematis pitcheri, Cocculus carolinus, Galium aparine, Gleditisia triacanthos, Juniperus virginiana, Maclura pomifera, Myosotis macrosperma, Parthenocissus quinquefolia, Passiflora lutea, Quercus nigra, Q. cf. phellos, Rhus sp., Ruellia strepens, Sanicula canadensis, Smilax bona-nox, Symphoricarpos orbiculatus, Toxicodendron radicans, Ulmus sp., Vernonia sp. Occasional.
