Habitat and Description: In weedy herbaceous vegetation in disturbed portion of gamagrass prairie vegetation, on soils mapped as deep, somewhat poorly drained, mildly alkaline clay Vertisols (Kaufman Series), on floodplain of major stream. Associates included Ambrosia trifida, Bromus sp., Carex cherokeensis, Dichanthelium oligosanthes, Dracopis amplexicaulis, Geranium carolinianum, Lathyrus hirsutus, Lolium perenne, Medicago orbicularis, Oenothera speciosa, Physalis sp., Prunella vulgaris, Rumex altissimus, Trifolium dubium, T. resupinatum, T. vesiculosum, Verbena halei, Vicia sativa, V. tetrasperma. Common.
