Habitat and Description: In prairie grassland on soils mapped as Normangee clay loam (Vertic Haplustalfs), on gently rolling landscape underlain by Blossom Sand, W side of drainageway. Associates included Baptisia sphaerocarpa, Carex bushii, Dichanthelium dichotomum, Eryngium yuccifolium, Helianthus mollis, H. pauciflorus, Hypoxis hirsuta, Liatris aspera, L. pycnostachya, Mimosa nuttallii, Rudbeckia maxima, Sporobolus silveanus, Tripsacum dactyloides. Rare.
