Habitat and Description: In opening in live oak savanna on Weesatche fine sandy loam on level upland underlain by mix of Goliad Formation caliche and Pleistocene deep eolian sand. Herbaceous vegetation dominated by Polypremum procumbens, Agalinis strictiflora, Gaillardia aestivalis, Aristida purpurea, Chamaecrista flexuosa var. texana and C. calycioides. Other associates included Alophia drummondii, Aphanostephus skirrhobasis, Bulbostylis capillaris, Cenchrus spinifex, Coreopsis basalis, Diodia teres, Hypericum drummondii, Lechea san-sabeana, Phyllanthus polygonoides. Common.
