Habitat and Description: Along margin of medium-stature thorn shrubland on somewhat tight shallow sandy soils over caliche on moderate slope. Shrubland dominated by Acacia greggii, Diospyros texana, Krameria ramosissima. Other associates included Acleisanthes longiflora, Allionia incarnata, Aristida purpurea, Castela erecta, Chloris cucullata, Dalea pogonathera, Eragrostis curtipedicellata, Guaiacum angustifolium, Jatropha dioica, Jatropha dioica, Karwinskia humboldtiana, Koeberlinia spinosa, Melampodium cinereum, Opuntia lindheimeri, Physaria argyraea, Pithecellobium ebano, Salvia ballotiflora, Sideroxylon celastrinum, Simsia calva, Sporobolus cryptandrus, Thelesperma ambiguum, Yucca treculeana. Rare.
