Habitat and Description: In medium-stature thorn shrubland on somewhat tight shallow sandy soils over caliche on moderate slope. Shrubland dominated by Acacia rigidula, A. greggii, Krameria ramosissima, Diospyros texana. Other associates included Abutilon fruticosum, Acacia schaffneri, Allionia incarnata, Aristida purpurea, Cenchrus spinifex, Cynanchum barbigerum, Dalea nana, Desmanthus obtusus, Digitaria cognata, Ephedra antisyphilitica, Eragrostis curtipedicellata, Evolvulus alsinoides, Eysenhardtia texana, Florestina tripteris, Forestiera angustifolia, Froelichia gracilis, Gaillardia pulchella, Guaiacum angustifolium, Herissantia crispa, Karwinskia humboldtiana, Leucophyllum frutescens, Maurandya antirrhiniflora, Melampodium cinereum, Oxalis dichondrifolia, Parkinsonia sp., Pectis tenella, Phyllanthus polygonoides, Salvia ballotiflora, Senna pumilio, Setaria ramiseta, Simsia calva, Thymophylla pentachaeta, Wedelia hispida, Zanthoxylum fagara, Ziziphus obtusifolius.
