Habitat and Description: In gamagrass prairie vegetation on soils mapped as deep, somewhat poorly drained, mildly alkaline clay Vertisols (Kaufman Series), on slightly higher spot on floodplain of major stream. Associates included Allium canadense var. canadense, Carex spp., Dracopis amplexicaulis, Erigeron sp., Galium aparine, Iva annua, Lathyrus pusillus, Minuartia muscorum, Physostegia pulchella, Polytaenia nuttallii, Solidago sp., Triodanis biflora, Tripsacum dactyloides, Ulmus alata saplings ca. 2 m tall. Common.
