Habitat and Description: In unshaded seasonal swales on floodplain of major stream. In herbaceous wetland vegetation in gamagrass prairie on soils mapped as deep, somewhat poorly drained, mildly alkaline clay Vertisols (Kaufman Series). Associates included Carex crus-corvi, Cephalanthus occidentalis, Dracopis amplexicaulis, Galium aparine, G. tinctorium, Krigia cespitosa f. gracilis, Minuartia muscorum, Persicaria sp., Physostegia intermedia, Ptilimnium nuttallii, Ranunculus fascicularis, R. pusillus, Rorippa sessiliflora, Salix nigra, Sesbania macrocarpa, Teucrium canadense, Trepocarpus aethusae, Valerianella radiata, Veronica peregrina, Xanthium strumarium. Common. Latitude and longitude indicated as 33¼04'07.2"N, 96¼00'35.9"W and/or 33¼04'07.5"N, 96¼00'35.1"W.
