Habitat and Description: In openings in medium-stature thorn shrubland on soils mapped as deep calcareous moderately alkaline saline Catarina clay, on slope of gravelly hill on gently rolling landscape underlain by mudstones and claystones of the Catahoula and Frio formations (undivided). Shrubland dominated by Acacia rigidula, A. berlandieri, Castela erecta and Krameria ramosissima. Other associates included Condalia spathulata, Echinocereus fitchii, Hilaria belangeri, Isocoma coronopifolia, Leucophyllum frutescens, Panicum hallii, Setaria sp., Sporobolus wrightii, Thelocactus bicolor, Tiquilia canescens, Varilla texana, Yeatesia platystegia, Yucca treculeana. Frequent.
