Habitat and Description: In hackberry woodland along shallow intermittent drainageway between gentle slopes underlain by Blossom Sand and supporting prairie grassland vegetation, on soils mapped as Normangee clay loam (Vertic Haplustalfs). Associates included Berchemia scandens, Camassia scilloides, Celtis laevigata, Chasmanthium latifolium, Fraxinus pensylvanica, Galium aparine, Geum canadense, Gleditsia triacanthos, Juniperus virginiana, Lonicera japonica, Maclura pomifera, Parthenocissus quinquefolia, Prunus rivularis, Rubus aboriginum, Sanicula canadensis, Smilax sp., Symphoricarpos orbiculatus, Toxicodendron radicans. Zizia aurea. Occasional.
