Habitat and Description: In sparse vegetation on "bare" gravelly areas on gentle slope above and just W of stock tank in shallow valley between gentle slopes underlain by Cretaceous limestone and otherwise supporting prairie vegetation. Associates include Eriogonum longifolium, Eryngium leavenworthii, Gutierrezia texana, Muhlenbergia reverchonii. Locally common.
