Habitat and Description:
In wetland herbaceous vegetation in moist sand or loamy sand in open loblolly pine - post oak woodland on nearly level upland underlain by Eocene sands, on soils mapped as deep, moderately well drained, neutral to slightly acid fine sand (Patilo Series, Grossarenic Paleustalfs). Associates included Callitriche terrestris, Cyperus erythrorhizos, C. strigosus, Eleocharis tortilis, Juncus marginatus, Leptochloa dubia (introduced), Ludwigia palustris, Pluchea odorata, Rudbeckia hirta, Strophostyles sp., Triadenum sp., Typha sp. Occasional. Area lightly burned during Bastrop Complex Wildfire of September 2011.
