Habitat and Description: In mostly herbaceous vegetation in formerly heavily utilized pasture on very shallow stony clay or clay loam on flat ridgetop underlain by Salmon Peak Limestone. Associates included Allium drummondii, Centaurea melitensis, Croton monanthogynus, Dalea nana, Digitaria cognata, Ditaxis sp., Erodium cicutarium, Hilaria belangeri, Jatropha dioica, Justicia pilosella, Lepidium austrinum, Oenothera triloba, Opuntia spp., Parthenium sp., Plantago helleri, Ratibida columnifera, Senna lindheimeriana, Senna pumilio, Sida abutifolia, Spermolepis inermis, Trisetum interruptum, Verbena canescens, Wedelia hispida. Occasional.
