Habitat and Description: At edge of regularly mown weedy herbaceous vegetation among scattered tall Sabal mexicana in unshaded former ag field on modified soils originally mapped as deep, well drained, calcareous, moderately alkaline silt loam Typic Ustifluvents (Rio Grande series). Associates included Bothriochloa laguroides, Centaurea americana, Chamaesyce serpens, Chloris ciliata, Ciclospermum leptophyllum, Cirsium texanum, Clematis drummondii, Coreopsis tinctoria, Cynodon dactylon, Dichanthium annulatum, Gaura drummondii, G. parviflora, Glandularia bipinnatifida, Heliotropium angiospermum, Merremia dissecta, Parthenium hysterophorus, Pennisetum ciliare, Ratibida columnifera, Sorghum halepense, Urochloa maxima, Vicia ludoviciana. Tree to 20 ft. Occasional.
