Habitat and Description:
In moist sand in bed of road crossing minor stream through loblolly pine - post oak forest on soils mapped as deep, moderately well drained, neutral to slightly acid fine sand (Patilo Series, Grossarenic Paleustalfs), at bottom of gently rolling landscape underlain by Carrizo Sand. Area lightly burned during Bastrop Complex Wildfire of September 2011. Associates included Callitriche sp., Carex spp., Dichanthelium scoparium, Dichondra carolinensis, Galium tinctorium, Juncus diffusissimus, J. cf. interior, Leersia virginica, Lindernia dubia, Modiola caroliniana, Persicaria sp., Phalaris caroliniana. Common.
