Habitat and Description:
In bed of gravelly sand road through forb-dominated herbaceous vegetation on gentle upper slope on rolling landscape underlain by Carrizo Sand, on soils mapped as deep, moderately well drained, slightly acid loamy fine sand (Demona Series, Arenic Paleustalfs). Area lightly burned during Bastrop Complex Wildfire of September 2011. Associates included Aphanostephus skirrhobasis, Brazoria truncata, Callirhoe involucrata, Castilleja indivisa, Coreopsis sp., Gaillardia aestivalis, G. ambylodon, Heterotheca pilosa. H. subaxillaris, Hypochaeris glabra, Lepidium sp., Oenothera laciniata, Opuntia sp., Plantago hookeriana, Rumex hastatulus, Silene antirrhina, Vulpia sp. Occasional.
