Habitat and Description: In burned-over loblolly pine - post oak woodland on hilltop underlain by Carrizo Sand, in soils mapped as deep, moderately well drained, neutral to slightly acid fine sand (Patilo Series, Grossarenic Paleustalfs). Area burned during Bastrop Complex Wildfire of September 2011. Associates included Aphanostephus skirrhobasis, Bulbostylis capillaris, Cnidoscolus texanus, Commelina erecta, Coreopsis sp., Croton capitatus, Cyperus sp., Diodia teres, Eragrostis secundiflora, Facelis retusa, Froelichia latifolia, Gaillardia aestivalis, Gamochaeta purpurea, Helianthus debilis, Heterotheca pilosa, Hymenopappus artemisiifolius, Juncus marginatus, Loeflingia squarrosa, Matelea cynanchoides, Mollugo verticillata, Monarda punctata, Oenothera heterophylla, Palafoxia hookeriana, Paspalum setaceum, Plantago hookeriana, Stillingia sylvatica, Tephrosia sp., Triodanis sp., Vitis lincecumii. Rare.
