Habitat and Description: In strip of sandyland herbaceous vegetation along road through loblolly pine - post oak forest on soils mapped as deep, moderately well drained, neutral to slightly acid fine sand (Patilo Series, Grossarenic Paleustalfs), on gently rolling upland underlain by Eocene sand. Area burned during Bastrop Complex Wildfire of September 2011. Associates included Aphanostephus skirrhobasis, Chamaecrista fasciculata, Chrysopsis pilosa, Cnidoscolus texanus, Commelina erecta, Coreopsis basalis, Cyperus spp., Euphorbia corollata, Helianthemum georgianum, Helianthus debilis, Monarda punctata, Oenothera heterophylla, palafoxia hookeriana, Phlox drummondii, Phytolacca americana, Scutellaria drummondii. Common.
