Habitat and Description: In riparian woodland on sandy to silty alluvial soils on floodplain of perennial stream, along main road on Hoppy Springs Tract. Area lightly burned during Bastrop Complex Wildfire of September 2011. Associates included Ambrosia trifida, Ampelopsis arborea, Campsis radicans, Celtis laevigata, Chasmanthium latifolium, C. sessiliflorum, Cocculus carolinus, Dichanthelium scoparium, Diospyros virginiana, Echinochloa walteri, Eupatorium serotinum, Leersia virginica, Parthenocissus quinquefolia, Phytolacca americana, Quercus nigra, Smilax bona-nox, Ulmus americana, Vitis mustangensis. Rare.
