Habitat and Description: In open shrubland with emergent Sapindus, on conglomerate outcrop exposed on slope just above dry wash between slopes of tuffaceous sandstone and conglomerate of the Tascotal Formation. Associates included dozens of species, including Acacia greggii, A. neovernicosa, Berberis trifoliolata, Boerhavia sp., Bouteloua curtipendula, Flourensia cernua, Gilia rigidula, Menodora scabra, Mimosa aculeaticarpa, Nerisyrenia camporum, Nicotiana trigonophylla, Pectis filipes, Rhus microphylla, Thelesperma megapotamicum. Rare in shade of Rhus microphylla.
