Habitat and Description: In low, rather sparse herbaceous vegetation in broad shallow drainageway crossing grassland on deep, well-drained, noncalcareous loamy soils (Gageby Series) on gently sloping alluvial flat. Associates included Chloris virgata, Desmanthus cooleyi, Distichlis spicata, Iva angustifolia, Lythrum californicum, Panicum hallii, Paspalum distichum, Proboscidea fragrans, Rhynchosida physocalyx, Sporobolus / Muhlenbergia spp., Tidestromia lanuginosa.
