Habitat and Description: In shallow stony-sandy soils in opening in post oak woodland on +/- level ridgetop underlain by Pennsylvanian sandstone. Associates included Aristida longespica, A. longiseta, Chloris cucullata, Croton glandulosus, Croton lindheimerianus, Cyperus sp., Dichanthelium spp., Digitaria cognata, Diodia teres, Froelichia gracilis, Hypericum drummondii, Juncus interior, Nothoscordum bivalve, Opuntia leptocaulis, O. cf. macrorhiza, Paspalum setaceum, Plantago hookeriana, Portulaca pilosa, Prosopis glandulosa, Selaginella arenicola, Triplasis purpurea, Urochloa ciliatissima. Occasional.
