Habitat and Description: In weedy herbaceous vegetation on sandy fill soil on partially shaded regularly mown curblawns and traffic islands at entrance to Bastrop State Park. Area NOT burned during Bastrop Complex Wildfire of September 2011. Associates included Bromus catharticus, Calyptocarpus vialis, Cynodon dactylon, Hedypnois cretica, Medicago minima, Modiola caroliniana, Poa annua, Soliva sp., Stellaria media, Veronica arvensis. Locally common. Leaves in basal rosette flat on surface of soil; scapes erect or ascending; ligules pale yellow.
