Locality: United States, TEXAS, Bastrop, W bank of Alum Creek ca. 10-500 ft. downstream from (SW of) crossing of Hoppy Spring Tract road, ca. 1.3-1.4 airmiles SE to SSE of jct. St. Rt. 21 and F. M. 1441 NE of Bastrop. Bastrop State Park. Smithville NW Quadrangle. Elev. 400-410 ft.

Habitat and Description: In somewhat open deciduous riparian woodland on floodplain of small perennial stream, on soils mapped as deep, excessively drained, slightly acid fine sandy loam (Sayers Series, Typic Ustifluvents), between gentle slopes underlain by Carrizo Sand. Area lightly burned during Bastrop Complex Wildfire of September 2011. Associates included Ampelopsis arborea, Briza minor, Campsis radicans, Carex cf. complanata, Carex tetrastachya, Carya illinoinensis, Chaerophyllum tainturieri, Desmodium sp., Dichanthelium spp., Dichondra carolinensis, Galium aparine, G. tinctorium, Geranium sp., Ilex vomitoria, Lolium multiflorum, Modiola caroliniana, Myosotis macrosperma, Parthenocissus quinquefolia, Passiflora lutea, Phytolacca americana, Poa annua, Quercus nigra, Salvia lyrata, Sida rhombifolia, Smilax bona-nox, Solanum ptycanthum, Solidago sp., Stellaria media, Torilis arvensis, Ulmus americana, Valerianella radiata, Verbesina virginica, Viola sp. Occasional.
