Habitat and Description: Among regrowth in shallow gravelly-stony clay in canyon bottom recently cleared of juniper and many other woody plants, on site underlain by Salmon Peak Limestone, both sides of road. Associates included Acacia berlandieri, Diospyros texana, Juniperus sp., Quercus cf. pungens, Salvia ballotiflora, Yeatesia platystegia. Frequent.
