Habitat and Description: In mostly herbaceous vegetation on set of unshaded gravel bars in Colorado River. Associates included Acmella oppositifolia, Ambrosia trifida, Amorpha fruticosa, Andropogon glomeratus, Arundo donax, Aster subulatus, Baccharis neglecta, Bacopa monnieri, Carex emoryi, Cynodon dactylon, Eupatorium serotinum, Hydrocotyle verticillata, Iva annua, Justicia americana, Lobelia cardinalis, Ludwigia octovalvis, Ludwigia peploides, Mitreola petiolata, Morus alba (seedlings), Panicum virgatum, Parkinsonia aculeata, Paspalum pubiflorum, P. urvillei, Persicaria spp., Platanus occidentalis (seedlings and saplings), Pluchea odorata, Ruellia caerulea, Salix nigra (saplings), Sesbania drummondii, S. macrocarpa, Setaria parviflora, Strophostyles helvula, Zizaniopsis miliacea. Occasional. Stems +/- erect.
